关于客户
The Magal group of companies has been a leader in automotive engineering for over 50 years. Known for its aggressive business growth, Magal consistently acquires and transforms struggling companies into highly efficient and competitive entities. The company operates in a Lean manufacturing environment and has successfully implemented the WinMan ERP system across its various entities, including AP Drivelines and Western Thomson Plastics. Magal's success is attributed to its modern management techniques, lean practices, and state-of-the-art technology.
挑战
Magal Engineering faced the challenge of rapidly implementing a new ERP system across its various companies while maintaining business performance. The company needed to transform ailing companies into efficient entities quickly, without disrupting daily operations. For instance, Western Thomson Plastics was in a poor trading relationship with its principal customer, necessitating a swift yet minimally disruptive ERP implementation.
解决方案
Magal Engineering chose WinMan as its ERP system due to its ability to be implemented quickly and efficiently in a Lean manufacturing environment. The system's design, which mirrors real-world Lean practices, allows for accurate stock level management and intuitive use. This reduces implementation time and builds user confidence in the system. WinMan's versatility, including its ability to handle both backward and forward flushing and use electronic Kanbans, further supports its rapid deployment. The system also extends Lean practices into the supply chain through EDI links and consignment stock management, enhancing supplier relationships and reducing waste.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).

Monitoring of Pressure Pumps in Automotive Industry
A large German/American producer of auto parts uses high-pressure pumps to deburr machined parts as a part of its production and quality check process. They decided to monitor these pumps to make sure they work properly and that they can see any indications leading to a potential failure before it affects their process.
