关于客户
United States Cold Storage Inc. is a 110-year-old refrigerated warehouse operations company headquartered in Voorhees, N.J. The company owns a network of cold-storage warehouses totaling more than 150 million cubic feet of space. They provide cold-storage warehousing for a wide range of perishable food products, pharmaceuticals, and other items. Recently, U.S. Cold Storage opened two new facilities in Wilmington, Ill., and Lebanon, Ind. The company relies on Raymond® lift trucks to manage the cold environments and move up to 100 million pounds of product per month between the two facilities. U.S. Cold Storage is known for its commitment to maintaining high standards in cold-storage warehousing and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of its operations.
挑战
The cold environment of refrigerated and freezer warehousing presents significant challenges for warehouse equipment, facility managers, and employees. U.S. Cold Storage, a company with over 110 years of experience in refrigerated warehouse operations, needed to ensure that their lift trucks could operate efficiently in severe temperatures. The company recently opened two new facilities in Wilmington, Ill., and Lebanon, Ind., and required reliable lift trucks to handle up to 100 million pounds of product per month between these locations. The challenge was to find lift trucks that could withstand the harsh conditions and maintain high productivity levels.
解决方案
U.S. Cold Storage worked with Arbor Material Handling Inc., a Raymond Sales and Service Center, to select the appropriate lift trucks for their new facilities. The combined fleet includes 71 trucks, such as Raymond Reach-Fork® trucks, sitdown and stand-up counterbalanced lift trucks, orderpickers, and pallet trucks. These trucks are equipped with a cold-storage conditioning package to protect their control systems in severe temperatures. Additionally, the Reach-Fork lift trucks feature the Raymond ThermaKit™ system, which includes heated control handles and floor cushions to keep operators comfortable in frigid conditions. The Vantage Point® high-level color imaging system, installed on the Reach-Fork trucks, aids operators in handling pallets at heights up to 40 feet, enhancing accuracy and efficiency. Reliable service from authorized Raymond Sales and Service Centers ensures the lift truck fleets are well-maintained, supporting continuous operation for up to 18 hours per day, seven days a week.

HEINEKEN Uses the Cloud to Reach 10.5 Million Consumers
For 2012 campaign, the Bond promotion, it planned to launch the campaign at the same time everywhere on the planet. That created unprecedented challenges for HEINEKEN—nowhere more so than in its technology operation. The primary digital content for the campaign was a 100-megabyte movie that had to play flawlessly for millions of viewers worldwide. After all, Bond never fails. No one was going to tolerate a technology failure that might bruise his brand.Previously, HEINEKEN had supported digital media at its outsourced datacenter. But that datacenter lacked the computing resources HEINEKEN needed, and building them—especially to support peak traffic that would total millions of simultaneous hits—would have been both time-consuming and expensive. Nor would it have provided the geographic reach that HEINEKEN needed to minimize latency worldwide.
