关于客户
Solutions Squad Inc. is a managed service provider specializing in small business IT across various industries. They often act as the dedicated IT department for their clients, handling everything from network design to helpdesk support. One of their key offerings is providing robust backup solutions. One of their longtime clients, Genet Property Group, is a property management company that relies heavily on billable hours and requires zero downtime to maintain their business operations. Genet's servers are business-critical, and any disruption can halt essential activities like processing payments, managing leases, and coordinating property showings.
挑战
Genet Property Group, a longtime client of Solutions Squad Inc., faced an urgent situation when their office began filling with smoke. As a property management company that operates on billable hours, any downtime could severely impact their operations, including processing payments, leases, and coordinating showings. The VP of Operations at Genet immediately contacted David Moadab, Managing Partner at Solutions Squad, to address the issue. The primary concern was whether their critical business data was backed up, as any data loss could be catastrophic for their operations.
解决方案
Upon receiving the distress call from Genet Property Group, David Moadab of Solutions Squad immediately took action by remotely shutting down the servers and workstations to prevent any potential damage. He then drove to the Genet office to assess the situation. Fortunately, the smoke was not fire-related but was caused by a leaking AC unit. Genet was able to return to their office within two hours. However, even if the situation had been more severe, Solutions Squad had equipped Genet with remote access to their workstations, ensuring business continuity. Solutions Squad provides Genet with a comprehensive business continuity solution through Datto SIRIS. This device offers a significant upgrade from their previous tape backup system, which required manual handling and was prone to human error. Datto SIRIS automates the backup process, reducing data-related stress for both Genet and Solutions Squad. Additionally, Datto offers 24/7/365 support, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed, further enhancing the reliability of the backup solution.

Flex Contact Center: Supporting rapid business growth with IBM Connections Cloud and IBM Verse
Flex Contact Center, a professional services company offering telesales, call-center, anti-attrition, back-office, helpdesk and collection services, has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2009. With operations in 12 sites across two states and four cities in Brazil, the company employs more than 11,000 people. However, the company realized that to prevent barriers to future expansion, it was essential to make it as easy as possible for its people to work together effectively—even if they were based in separate geographical locations. Traditional approaches to collaboration—based on email and phone calls—threatened to reduce productivity. Flex Contact Center wanted to enable better collaboration and communication across its workforce, but did not want to make large investments in infrastructure.

PureFluent: Connecting to partners and customers through the cloud for enhanced productivity
PureFluent, a translation services company, was facing challenges in managing its translation and document review processes. The company often received files in uneditable formats from customers, which required staff members to transfer text to word processing or spreadsheet documents. During the translation process, maintaining version control was a challenge because PureFluent sent work to hundreds of translators in multiple geographic locations. It was also time-consuming for staff to manage the large volume of emails and FTP transactions required to submit translations for customer review and ensure the integration of requested changes. Furthermore, staff were spending significant time hunting through their emails for specific attachments.
