Based in Omaha, Nebraska, R & M Transportation hauls refrigerated freight throughout the United States, especially meat products from the Midwest to the West Coast, and produce from the West to the Midwest. The company has 175 vehicles, with an average length of haul of 550 miles per day or 2,800 miles per week.

R & M Transportation adopted the Mobile Computing Platform 50 (MCP50) and its suite of applications, including CoPilot Truck In-Cab Navigation, Critical Event Reporting (CER), Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR), Hours of Service, and Performance Monitoring (PM). The compact design and reasonable cost of the MCP50 was an important factor in R & M’s decision to adopt the solution.
