Langlinais Bakery is a family-owned business that has been baking the original New Orleans French Bread for its customers for over 45 years. The bakery, which started in a small grocery store in 1971, has grown into a company that ships nearly 50 variations of its bread to customers in 40 states. The breads are used in some of the largest delis coast to coast. The company is co-owned by Colby Langlinais, his father, and his two brothers. Colby, who has a nearly 18-year history working in the family business, has witnessed the growth of the company and the strain on resources that has been added due to that growth.

Langlinais Bakery, a family-owned business that has grown significantly over the years, was facing challenges due to its outdated Sage accounting and other independent software products. The company needed to upgrade its software to meet the growing demand for its products and to comply with increasingly stringent regulatory requirements. The company initially moved to the SAP Business One solution, but soon realized that it did not address key manufacturing functions such as batch ticket management, raw material inventory control, and lot traceability. The company needed a solution that would provide more control and greater visibility into its operations.

BatchMaster Manufacturing is fully embedded into the SAP Business One platform, providing Langlinais Bakery with a comprehensive ERP solution. The implementation of BatchMaster Manufacturing allowed the company to enter batch yield quantities and size its batch tickets to include material loss factor, resulting in properly sized production batches. The solution also provided detailed lot traceability, which was a requirement for all of Langlinais Bakery's major customers. Additionally, BatchMaster Manufacturing helped streamline the company's material ordering process, improving inventory tracking and ensuring on-time receipt of materials.
