关于客户
Keoride is a partnership between Keolis Downer, AECOM, Via, GoGet, Data61, and Transport for NSW, launched in early 2018. The service provides on-demand transportation to residents in two suburban areas north of Sydney, Macquarie Park and Northern Beaches. Keolis Downer is a leading provider of public transport in Australia, operating and maintaining various transport services. The partnership aims to offer an accessible, equitable, and sustainable transportation solution for the growing region of Sydney. The service is part of New South Wales’ On Demand Public Transport Program, which includes 11 trials of on-demand service in Sydney, Newcastle, the Central Coast, and the Illawarra.
挑战
Prove the case for on-demand transit in the greater Sydney region and grow ridership on the BRT line. The service aims to provide commuters a link to and from employment hubs in Macquarie Park and offer residents and visitors a connection to BRT stops in Northern Beaches. The initiative is part of New South Wales’ On Demand Public Transport Program, which explores the potential of on-demand transit to create additional connections to transit in the greater Sydney region. The challenge also includes aligning with the City’s “Sustainable Sydney 2030” plan, which calls for more public-private partnerships to make Sydney more accessible, equitable, and environmentally sustainable.
解决方案
Keoride launched in March 2018 as part of the government’s commitment to innovative transport solutions. GoGet provides and maintains the cobranded fleet, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, while Keolis Downer operates the services. The Macquarie Park service operates during peak commuting hours, connecting transit stops to central employment precincts. The Northern Beaches service offers first and last mile connections to three B-Line BRT stops. Keoride integrates with Sydney’s OpalPay system, allowing passengers to pay for on-demand trips with the same card used for other transit options. Pricing is affordable, with flat fares in Northern Beaches and distance-based fares in Macquarie Park.
运营影响
  • Keoride has provided over 100,000 trips since its launch and has seen strong week-over-week growth.
  • In Macquarie Park, Keolis Downer added six vehicles to the fleet to accommodate demand.
  • The service received the Overall Smart City Project Award at the 2018 Smart City Awards.
  • The two Via-powered zones have seen the strongest ridership of the 11 on-demand pilots.
  • Northern Beaches provided nearly three times more rides than the next highest performing service in October.
数量效益
  • 96% of customers prefer Keoride over personal vehicles.
  • Over 100,000 trips in the first 11 months of service.
