关于客户
iOffer is an online marketplace that serves as an alternative to traditional auction-styled websites. The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California. iOffer provides a platform where buyers and sellers can engage each other in open, honest, and enjoyable information exchanges. The company has a growing global customer base of buyers and sellers who come not only for the commerce, but also for the relaxing and engaging online atmosphere. The site currently serves more than 90 million page views to over 8.2 million unique visitors each month (a total of 11.2 million visitors monthly).
挑战
iOffer, an online marketplace, was facing challenges in delivering dynamic applications and content to international locations due to inherent packet loss and latency of the internet. This resulted in slow download times and page load times in excess of three seconds, especially for international users who accounted for more than fifty percent of the site’s visitors each month. The company wanted to improve the delivery of dynamic applications and content to international locations and stand behind its sub-one second performance goal without affecting the bottom line or forcing iOffer to raise its prices. The company considered building an additional data center closer to international site visitors to enhance dynamic website performance, but it was deemed prohibitively expensive.
解决方案
iOffer decided to use CDNetworks' Dynamic Web Acceleration service to improve the delivery of dynamic applications and content to international locations. CDNetworks, the largest CDN with roots in Asia Pacific and local capabilities on five continents, was able to provide a proven acceleration solution using a cloud-based platform that would easily integrate with iOffer’s ecommerce platform. The solution was able to perform in all regions of the world, demonstrate significant application acceleration results, and integrate easily with iOffer’s unique ecommerce platform based on Ruby on Rails. The solution helped iOffer boost performance by 200-300% in the most challenging regions without the burden of building and maintaining their own geographically dispersed data centers.

Atlanta Grout & Tile, a Tile, Stone & Grout restoration company based in Woodstock, Georgia, was facing challenges with its traditional business model. Despite steady growth over the years, the company was falling behind the web revolution and missing out on the opportunity to tap into a new consumer base. They were using independent software from different vendors for each of their department information and workforce management. This resulted in a lot of manual work on excel and the need to export/import data between different systems. This not only increased overhead costs but also slowed down their response to clients. The company also had to prepare numerous reports manually and lacked access to customer trends for effective business decision-making.

7-Eleven Philippines, a pioneer of 24-hour convenience stores in the country, was facing challenges with its customer support system. The customer support was outsourced to an external vendor, which resulted in limited visibility into customer query patterns and performance metrics. The company had no transparency into the vendor's analytics and could not validate their reports. They also had no visibility into the volume of calls, number of abandoned calls, etc. due to the use of the vendor’s telephony solution.
