Informatica faced challenges with their existing HR system, PeopleSoft, which provided limited workforce data in a tabular format. This made it difficult and labor-intensive to generate workforce analytics, requiring significant IT time and expertise. Even after switching to Workday, the company found that the system did not meet the growing demand for strategic and predictive workforce insights. HR Business Partners struggled to have fact-based conversations with business leaders, limiting the strategic value they could deliver.

Informatica had several key requirements for a workforce analytics solution. They needed a system that provided intuitive, interactive analytics visualizations that were easy to share. The solution also needed to allow users across the enterprise to slice and dice data in multiple dimensions, removing dependency on IT for custom analytics. Additionally, the solution needed to offer meaningful “out of the box” analytics for quick time to value. After assessing the market, Informatica selected Visier Workforce Analytics, a cloud solution that was implemented within eight weeks. This solution transformed analytics at Informatica, enabling the HR department to be self-sufficient in generating custom analyses and providing extensive self-service analytics capabilities.
