The existing caching solution, Amazon ElastiCache, was inadequate, requiring extensive manual effort for data migration and causing delays in the product development lifecycle. Freshworks needed a more efficient and scalable solution to handle the increasing database load and improve application responsiveness.

Freshworks evaluated several NoSQL in-memory databases and ultimately chose Redis Enterprise Cloud from Redis Labs to replace Amazon ElastiCache.
