DSV faced the challenge of integrating multiple business units and third-party systems to provide seamless end-to-end supply chain visibility and coordination for a large multinational client in the FMCG sector. The complexity was heightened by the need to manage regulated healthcare products alongside general goods, requiring precise coordination and compliance with service level agreements. The existing systems were fragmented, leading to inefficiencies and a lack of continuous visibility, planning, and execution.

DSV partnered with MPO to implement a supply chain control tower solution that would integrate their disparate systems and provide real-time visibility across their complex multi-party network. The MPO platform allowed DSV to automate highly complex workflows and processes, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external service providers. The solution included advanced capacity planning, inventory management, and automated carrier selection, all integrated with existing WMS and legacy systems. The company has a long track record of innovative technology solutions. For example, 3M helps its customers optimize parking operations by automating fee collection and other processes. To improve support for this rapidly expanding segment, 3M needed to automate its own data collection and reporting. Jason Fox, Mobile Application Architect at 3M, upped the ante by volunteering to deliver the new app in one weekend. For Fox and his team, these requirements meant turning to the cloud instead of an on-premises datacenter. “My first thought was to go directly to the cloud because we needed to provide access not only to our salespeople, but to resellers who didn’t have access to our internal network,” says Fox. “The cloud just seemed like a logical choice.”
