Primary Care Associates is a physician's office that deals with critical patient records, including digital x-rays, on a daily basis. The healthcare provider relies heavily on their server infrastructure to store and access these vital records for patient diagnosis and treatment. The company operates in a high-stakes environment where any downtime can severely impact their ability to provide timely medical care. They reached out to OneSource Technology, a Kansas-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) that serves various industries, including healthcare, accounting firms, and law firms, to resolve their server failure issue.

Primary Care Associates, a healthcare provider, faced a critical situation when their main server containing vital digital x-rays failed. The server's warranty had expired, and replacing it would have caused significant downtime, impacting their ability to diagnose and treat patients. The urgency of the situation required a swift and effective solution to avoid operational disruption.

OneSource Technology quickly diagnosed the server issue and determined that fixing the old server was not worth the time and effort. Instead, they booted up a virtual copy of the failed server using their Datto SIRIS device within an hour. This virtual server was a significant upgrade, running much faster than the old one. Primary Care Associates operated in this recovery environment for three months while OneSource ordered and implemented a new physical server. The data was then seamlessly migrated to the new server, thanks to the Datto SIRIS device. This approach allowed Primary Care to avoid a rushed decision and ensured a strategic, well-thought-out replacement of their server infrastructure.

The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals. In order to address the challenges outlined above, the hospital sought a solution that would provide real-time inventory information with high levels of accuracy, reduce the level of manual effort required and enable data driven decision making to ensure that the right supplies were readily available to clinicians in the right location at the right time.
