However, they faced a situation where a flatbed truck merged into their driver’s lane and almost ran their driver off the road. The driver ended up driving into a ditch and the other driver fled the scene. This incident highlighted the need for video footage to provide proof and understand what happened during accidents.

To address the safety concerns and unpredictability of the road, 10-4 Alliance installed KeepTruckin’s Dual Facing Smart Dashcams in their vehicles. These dashcams provide real-time video annotation, allowing the company to have video footage available at a moment’s notice. In the incident where their driver was forced off the road, the dashcam captured a portion of the other driver’s truck, including the company logo. This allowed 10-4 Alliance to identify the other driver and company quickly through an Internet search. The company then filed a police report, avoiding a potential insurance rate increase in the future and having the incident blemish their accident record. The video footage was also sent to their insurance company, resulting in a $700 reimbursement for the cost of towing. Additionally, 10-4 received a discount on their insurance after telling them about the dash cams.
