About The Customer
Zitaat is a company based in Kuwait that provides an online food ordering platform for various restaurants and fast food chains. The company partners with popular food chains like McDonald’s, Dip’n’Dip, and Arby’s. In addition to providing the online ordering platform, Zitaat also handles the delivery of these orders. The company has a fleet of over 500 vehicles that are used for this purpose. The company's services are essential for ensuring that customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.
The Challenge
Zitaat, a Kuwait-based company, provides an online food ordering platform for various restaurants and fast food chains, including McDonald’s, Dip’n’Dip, and Arby’s. The company also provides delivery services for these orders. However, Zitaat faced a challenge in monitoring its fleet of over 500 vehicles and accessing the history of orders. The company needed a robust monitoring system that could track the location and speed of its delivery vehicles, as well as provide information on the battery level of the drivers' phones.
The Solution
To address the challenge, Zitaat partnered with Space link, which decided to use Wialon API and WiaTag. They installed WiaTag on the couriers’ smartphones and connected them to Wialon. This solution allowed Zitaat to get the drivers’ location and speed data as well as info on the battery level of 500 phones. Each restaurant was provided with a Wialon account where the dispatcher could monitor vehicles online, build reports, and get notifications. Geofences were also used to control the presence of drivers in loading and delivery zones.
Operational Impact
  • Dispatchers can now monitor the location and routes of the units 24/7 in Wialon Hosting.
  • 500 vehicles were connected to Wialon within a week with the help of the drivers’ phones and WiaTag.
  • The company now has access to the yearly orders history and the opportunity to build reports based on the data for this period.
Quantitative Benefit
  • 500 vehicles connected to Wialon within a week.
  • Access to yearly orders history.
