The Challenge
By using existing POS coin slot data, the customer could only tell the number of times a gaming machine was played but lacked visibility on other performance metrics such as; 1. Average number of plays per customer 2. Average time spent on each gaming machine 3. Average transaction value (ATV) per visit, per customer 4. Male vs. Female spending/gaming habits
The Solution
Ridgelinez partnered with RetailNext to deploy the Full Path Analytics (FPA) solution for the gaming center. The solution involved using the RetailNext API to extract raw event data analytics from the platform. The FPA data tracks the customer's path throughout the arcade center from entry to exit. Ridgelinez analyzed the FPA traversal zone to zone information every hour, determining which gaming machines customers interacted with and in what order. This data helped optimize the layout of machines within the arcade center's floor plan. By aggregating data from FPA Tracks, FPA Traversal zones, and the in-house POS, the client could maximize revenue and make precise strategic decisions.
Operational Impact
  • Ridgelinez can now track the full path of each customer journey and analyze metrics such as which gaming machines they visit, how long they spend, and male vs. female interactions.
  • These insights are used to optimize marketing strategies, deploy new loyalty programs based on spending patterns, and improve customer service.
