About The Customer
Synoptek, Inc. is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) that offers a range of IT services to its clients. The company was facing operational inefficiencies due to the use of multiple, disparate systems for remote monitoring and management (RMM) and other business functions. Eric Westrom, the newly appointed CTO, recognized the need for a more streamlined and integrated approach to manage the company's data and daily tasks. Synoptek aimed to improve its service delivery by consolidating its tools and platforms into a single, unified system. The company sought a strategic partner to help achieve this goal and ultimately chose Datto for its technology and support capabilities.
The Challenge
Eric Westrom, the CTO of Synoptek, Inc., identified inefficiencies in the company's operational platforms shortly after assuming his role. The company was using a legacy remote monitoring and management (RMM) tool that was outdated and separate from other business management platforms. This led to multiple systems in place, causing confusion and inefficiencies. The need for a streamlined, integrated system became apparent to ensure that all employees could access and manage data from a single platform. The goal was to eliminate the need for multiple tools and create a unified system that could handle various business functions such as tracking projects, financials, and tickets.
The Solution
Synoptek decided to partner with Datto to address its operational inefficiencies. Datto's Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool, along with its Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform, Autotask, were chosen for their high level of integration and support. The implementation began in July 2017 and was completed by early December 2017, converting over 20,000 endpoints. Datto's professional services team worked closely with Synoptek throughout the implementation, providing significant support and ensuring a smooth transition. The unified platform allowed Synoptek's employees to access and manage data from a single location, eliminating the need for multiple systems and improving overall efficiency.

Flex Contact Center: Supporting rapid business growth with IBM Connections Cloud and IBM Verse
Flex Contact Center, a professional services company offering telesales, call-center, anti-attrition, back-office, helpdesk and collection services, has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2009. With operations in 12 sites across two states and four cities in Brazil, the company employs more than 11,000 people. However, the company realized that to prevent barriers to future expansion, it was essential to make it as easy as possible for its people to work together effectively—even if they were based in separate geographical locations. Traditional approaches to collaboration—based on email and phone calls—threatened to reduce productivity. Flex Contact Center wanted to enable better collaboration and communication across its workforce, but did not want to make large investments in infrastructure.

PureFluent: Connecting to partners and customers through the cloud for enhanced productivity
PureFluent, a translation services company, was facing challenges in managing its translation and document review processes. The company often received files in uneditable formats from customers, which required staff members to transfer text to word processing or spreadsheet documents. During the translation process, maintaining version control was a challenge because PureFluent sent work to hundreds of translators in multiple geographic locations.
