Founded in 2008, the company has grown significantly and now operates with manufacturing partners in China, Canada, and California. Serious Integrated designs integrated circuit boards, which are then contract manufactured and shipped back to Arizona for final assembly and software integration. The company has been using QuickBooks, MISys, and Salesforce to manage its operations but faced challenges due to the lack of integration between these systems.
The Challenge
Serious Integrated faced significant challenges with their disconnected legacy software systems, including QuickBooks, MISys, and Salesforce. These systems were not integrated, leading to difficulties in reconciling financial and inventory data. The company struggled with manual entry and reconciliation, which was time-consuming and often inaccurate. Additionally, they lacked visibility into inventory levels at partner locations in China, Canada, and California. The need for better bill of material (BOM) management with revision control was also a pressing issue. The Solution
Serious Integrated chose to implement OptiProERP with SAP Business One to address their challenges. This solution provided the necessary manufacturing functions embedded into SAP Business One, a platform designed for small and midsize businesses. OptiProERP offered advanced manufacturing capabilities, including materials handling, traceability, serialization, and the ability to manage inventory across multiple warehouses and bins. The cloud-based nature of the solution eliminated the need for additional server infrastructure and maintenance, allowing for anytime, anywhere access to critical business information. The implementation of OptiProERP with SAP Business One provided Serious Integrated with a single, connected system that integrated their financial, inventory, and manufacturing operations, thereby eliminating the need for manual reconciliation and improving overall efficiency.
