The Challenge
The challenge that Patter aimed to solve was the inability of most companies to measure and assess their brand performance. Branding is a critical component of a company’s success, but many companies lack the tools to effectively monitor and manage their brand's value and effectiveness. Additionally, Patter, being an early-stage company, faced the challenge of slow and expensive development cycles. They initially launched on a React framework with a contracted software engineer developing the UI, but after about 3 months of development, they realized that their development cycles were too slow and too expensive.
The Solution
Patter is a software application that allows companies to measure, monitor, and manage the effectiveness and value of their brand. Users begin by providing a walkthrough of their company, including basic brand information like social handles and logo, and deeper brand insights such as mission, vision, and the company’s origin story. Once the brand profile is complete, companies can begin to reference or share their brand guide. To solve the challenge of slow and expensive development cycles, Patter switched to Bubble, a no-code platform. With Bubble, Patter was able to turn around full features in hours or days, as opposed to weeks or months. This enabled them to maintain their current AWS hosted database by leveraging their APIs, providing them with incredible flexibility on the frontend and business logic while maintaining their existing backend and database.
