About The Customer
Nostragamus is India's first prediction-based fantasy sports app, boasting over 5 million users. The company was established two and a half years ago with the goal of creating a fantasy sports app tailored for the Indian audience. Instead of choosing an 11-member team, users are asked to pick from any 15 specific events for a given match, such as the biggest scorer or biggest wicket-taker. This unique approach allowed Nostragamus to expand their app services to games beyond Cricket and Football, including Badminton, Tennis, Kabaddi, Hockey, and others. The app is available in Hindi and is accessible across Android, iOS, and web platforms.
The Challenge
Nostragamus, India's first prediction-based fantasy sports app, was facing a significant challenge with its push notification delivery, which was affecting its overall user retention strategy. The company found that 55% of their users were using Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and 30% of these users were using Xiaomi devices. This posed a problem as OS and device-level restrictions cut off the device from Google Cloud Messaging (GCM), an essential component for push notifications to reach the customer. As a result, there was a significant drop in the delivery of push notifications and user engagement, which heavily impacted the business.
The Solution
Nostragamus turned to MoEngage's 'Push Amplification+' to address this challenge. The solution enabled Nostragamus to produce timely, relevant messaging to engage its users across different levels of the onboarding journey. The implementation of 'Push Amplification+' resulted in a 40% uplift in overall delivery rates across all devices within a few weeks. For users active in the last 30 days, the delivery rates increased by 50%. The solution was particularly effective for Xiaomi devices, with a 75% increase in delivery rates. The solution also led to a 25% increase in 30-day retention of users on Xiaomi devices and a 5% increase in 30-day retention of users on Chinese OEMs.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
