About The Customer
NCP, founded in 1931, is the U.K.’s market leader in the provision of parking services. The company supplies over 200,000 parking spaces across more than 700 locations. The familiar yellow signage of NCP at car parks has become synonymous with parking in town centers, airports, and railway stations all over the United Kingdom. The company has a small IT team of three staff members who support NCP’s 550 IT users.
The Challenge
NCP, the U.K.’s market leader in the provision of parking services, was struggling with managing increasing amounts of spam. Despite having an on-network email security solution in place, the company was still dealing with spam, false positives, and system latency, which resulted in legitimate emails being delayed. With only three IT staff supporting NCP’s 550 IT users, the management of the situation was becoming a burden. The limited resources prompted NCP to consider switching to a hosted service.
The Solution
NCP chose Forcepoint Email Security as their solution. This system eliminates spam and malware before they reach the company network. The Forcepoint deployment model provides centralized security with built-in redundancy, failover, and business continuity while easing administration and optimizing network operating and capacity planning costs. NCP was particularly impressed with the speed at which Forcepoint processed incoming emails. The solution was also found to be cheaper than an in-house solution. As blended email and Web threats continue to become more sophisticated, protecting NCP’s end users from attack becomes more difficult. Forcepoint Email Security protects organizations from spam, Web 2.0 threats, and the converged security threats found in more than 90 percent of unwanted mail.
