The Challenge
Delays for Melton Truck Lines drivers can result in reduced pay and missed delivery appointments. Many loads are delivered to construction sites with narrow delivery windows. Missing a scheduled delivery can lead to significant delays for subsequent appointments, as construction site managers may rearrange schedules or set new delivery times. Additionally, delays can incur fines and penalties, especially when heavy equipment deliveries require scheduled cranes for unloading. Melton drivers had been using transponder-based weigh station bypass to avoid delays, but the company was intrigued by the growth of Drivewyze weigh station bypass.
The Solution
Melton Truck Lines first learned about Drivewyze at an American Trucking Associations conference.
