About The Customer
IRIS Solutions is a managed service provider based in Charlotte, North Carolina, specializing in IT services such as network integration, server management, business continuity planning, and security consulting. The company is dedicated to providing top-notch customer support and high-quality IT solutions to its clients. With a team of 20 IT staff members, IRIS Solutions serves a diverse range of clients, offering comprehensive IT services designed to enhance security, efficiency, and business continuity. The company's commitment to customer satisfaction and advanced security solutions has made it a trusted partner for businesses seeking reliable IT support and protection against cyber threats.
The Challenge
IRIS Solutions, a managed IT service provider, faced significant challenges with their previous security solution, VIPRE. VIPRE failed to stop malware at client sites, leading to increased malware infections and security breaches. Additionally, VIPRE's licensing model required IRIS Solutions to set up individual licenses for each client, which was both time-consuming and expensive. This inefficiency prompted IRIS Solutions to seek alternative security solutions that could offer better protection and a more efficient licensing model. After evaluating several options, Bitdefender and Sophos emerged as the top choices. Ultimately, IRIS Solutions selected Bitdefender Cloud Security for MSPs due to its exceptional security features and a licensing model well-suited for managed service providers.
The Solution
IRIS Solutions implemented Bitdefender Cloud Security for MSPs to enhance their security offerings and address the shortcomings of their previous solution, VIPRE. The Bitdefender solution was deployed to protect approximately 2,000 endpoints, including Windows workstations and both virtualized and physical Windows servers. This deployment extended to IRIS Solutions' own data center infrastructure, ensuring comprehensive protection across their operations. The effectiveness of Bitdefender was quickly demonstrated during a ransomware outbreak at a client site. While older computers without Bitdefender were compromised, the 150 computers running Bitdefender remained fully protected. This incident highlighted the robust security capabilities of Bitdefender and reinforced IRIS Solutions' decision to adopt it. Additionally, Bitdefender's simple monthly licensing model significantly reduced the administrative burden and costs associated with managing individual licenses for each client.

Flex Contact Center: Supporting rapid business growth with IBM Connections Cloud and IBM Verse
Flex Contact Center, a professional services company offering telesales, call-center, anti-attrition, back-office, helpdesk and collection services, has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2009. With operations in 12 sites across two states and four cities in Brazil, the company employs more than 11,000 people. However, the company realized that to prevent barriers to future expansion, it was essential to make it as easy as possible for its people to work together effectively—even if they were based in separate geographical locations. Traditional approaches to collaboration—based on email and phone calls—threatened to reduce productivity. Flex Contact Center wanted to enable better collaboration and communication across its workforce, but did not want to make large investments in infrastructure.
