The Challenge
Energizer Holdings, Inc., a global manufacturer and distributor of primary batteries, portable lights, and auto care products, faced a significant challenge in managing their growing and diverse library of digital assets. In 2015, they implemented a digital asset management (DAM) solution, Acquia DAM, which consolidated numerous siloed storage locations and tools into a centralized solution. The Solution
Energizer adopted Acquia DAM, including the Assets, Insights, and Portals applications, as the central source of truth for content across their family of brands. The DAM strategy involved using Acquia DAM to store and manage all final brand and marketing assets, ensuring that everyone across their global marketing team could find current content. The number of users grew from less than 100 to over 1,000, including marketing leadership, graphic designers, sales teams, and external creative agencies. Energizer also integrated Acquia DAM with other essential solutions, allowing assets stored in the DAM system to be synced across their martech stack. With each new acquisition, strategic additions were made to their metadata schema to organize new content. When additional administrative support was needed, Energizer leveraged Acquia’s DAM strategy services to eliminate file duplicates, create a DAM system site map, and build custom dashboards in the Insights application.
