Providing aid for a large number of people requires extreme efficiency. World Vision needed a way to streamline the process of distributing aid to approximately 12-15 million people each year. The manual process of recording aid distribution was time-consuming and prone to errors. The organization needed a solution that could improve the speed and accuracy of beneficiary verification and aid distribution.

World Vision implemented the Last Mile Mobile Solutions (LMMS) project, which integrates specially developed software with Intermec by Honeywell CN50 mobile computers. The solution allows field workers to scan beneficiary ID cards, creating instant verification of aid distribution. This process significantly reduces the time required to record and verify aid distribution. The CN50 mobile computers, with their long battery life, ruggedness, and color photograph capabilities, were crucial for the success of the LMMS project. The solution enables real-time data upload and inventory tracking, improving the overall efficiency of World Vision's aid distribution process.

Remote Wellhead Monitoring
Each wellhead was equipped with various sensors and meters that needed to be monitored and controlled from a central HMI, often miles away from the assets in the field. Redundant solar and wind generators were installed at each wellhead to support the electrical needs of the pumpstations, temperature meters, cameras, and cellular modules. In addition to asset management and remote control capabilities, data logging for remote surveillance and alarm notifications was a key demand from the customer. Terra Ferma’s solution needed to be power efficient, reliable, and capable of supporting high-bandwidth data-feeds. They needed a multi-link cellular connection to a central server that sustained reliable and redundant monitoring and control of flow meters, temperature sensors, power supply, and event-logging; including video and image files. This open-standard network needed to interface with the existing SCADA and proprietary network management software.
