The redesign of the rear yoke was a significant success, leading to a drastic reduction in weight and simplification of the manufacturing process. The new part, produced using 3D metal printing, is not only lighter and stronger but also aesthetically pleasing. The use of solidThinking Inspire in the design process and titanium-based additive manufacturing in production has revolutionized the way Triton Bikes approaches the manufacturing of its custom bike parts. The company is now able to produce parts in a single step with very little waste, significantly reducing production time and costs. The success of this project has opened up possibilities for further exploration of redesigning other parts of the bike frame, potentially leading to even greater efficiencies and improvements in performance.
