Traditional CAD methods were time-consuming, taking a couple of weeks to create early 3D concepts that required some early validation of motion and stresses. This inefficiency was a bottleneck in their development process, leading to delays in securing customer approvals and decisions on prototypes.

The company participated in the SOLIDWORKS Conceptual Design Lighthouse Program, which allowed them to use the software in production as part of prerelease testing.
