挑战
Oxford Properties Group, a global commercial real estate owner, developer, and manager, needed to upgrade its business intelligence (BI) infrastructure to simplify the demands of managing its properties. The company required advanced reporting and analysis capabilities to support its plans for global expansion. The challenge was to develop an enterprise BI solution that could deliver information from a data warehouse or production system across multiple platforms and databases. The company also needed a system that could infuse information into the daily activities of busy property managers.
解决方案
Oxford Properties Group standardized on WebFOCUS to securely select, format, analyze, and deliver a variety of information to authorized users. The company used WebFOCUS to build a solid foundation of parameterized reports that allow both internal and external users to sort and summarize information related to their properties. Its primary reporting application, called Oxford’s Advanced Strategic Information Source (OASIS), is an asset and performance measurement application that allows users to analyze tens of millions of square feet of real estate properties. OASIS offers a rich source of information about properties, tenants, and operations. It also includes a customer-facing portal that hosts a library of timely, comprehensive reports, providing instant details about everything from tenants, outstanding bills, and property histories to legal clauses and company financials.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management.
