关于客户
ProSoft Technology is a company that specializes in communication solutions for industrial automation and control applications. Their products are used in a variety of industries, including manufacturing plants, foundries, mines, oil wells, pipelines, and water treatment plants. ProSoft's hardware and software enable disparate industrial systems to interoperate, allowing skilled technicians to remotely monitor and manage these systems in mission-critical environments. A failure in these systems can disrupt production and even endanger lives. ProSoft is committed to helping its customers migrate to the latest industrial automation technologies and is always looking for ways to leverage the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to reduce costs and increase productivity for its customers.
挑战
ProSoft Technology, a company specializing in communication solutions for industrial automation and control applications, was looking to develop a new cloud-based communication platform for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) market. The company wanted to provide its customers with a secure, flexible, and easy-to-use platform that would allow them to remotely monitor and manage their industrial systems. However, ProSoft faced several challenges in developing this platform. They needed a solution that would allow them to quickly and easily develop and deliver new protocols, processes, and technologies that meet the needs of their industrial customers. They also needed a solution that would provide them with the flexibility to add additional services as their customers' needs evolve.
解决方案
ProSoft decided to build their new cloud platform internally using a cloud-native microservices and container architecture. They chose Nirmata's container-native solution as a core element in their tech stack. Nirmata's solution provides comprehensive policy-based automation for deploying, operating, and optimizing the platform across both public and private cloud environments. It also offers fine-grained control of applications and resources, making it easy to manage hundreds of microservices. Nirmata's solution supports both cloud environments and on-premises deployments, which was important for ProSoft as many of their customers have not yet adopted cloud services or prefer to manage critical devices on local networks. Nirmata also provided ProSoft with cloud strategy and architectural advice throughout the development process.

Taking Oil and Gas Exploration to the Next Level
DownUnder GeoSolutions (DUG) wanted to increase computing performance by 5 to 10 times to improve seismic processing. The solution must build on current architecture software investments without sacrificing existing software and scale computing without scaling IT infrastructure costs.

Remote Wellhead Monitoring
Each wellhead was equipped with various sensors and meters that needed to be monitored and controlled from a central HMI, often miles away from the assets in the field. Redundant solar and wind generators were installed at each wellhead to support the electrical needs of the pumpstations, temperature meters, cameras, and cellular modules. In addition to asset management and remote control capabilities, data logging for remote surveillance and alarm notifications was a key demand from the customer. Terra Ferma’s solution needed to be power efficient, reliable, and capable of supporting high-bandwidth data-feeds. They needed a multi-link cellular connection to a central server that sustained reliable and redundant monitoring and control of flow meters, temperature sensors, power supply, and event-logging; including video and image files. This open-standard network needed to interface with the existing SCADA and proprietary network management software.

Refinery Saves Over $700,000 with Smart Wireless
One of the largest petroleum refineries in the world is equipped to refine various types of crude oil and manufacture various grades of fuel from motor gasoline to Aviation Turbine Fuel. Due to wear and tear, eight hydrogen valves in each refinery were leaking, and each cost $1800 per ton of hydrogen vented. The plant also had leakage on nearly 30 flare control hydrocarbon valves. The refinery wanted a continuous, online monitoring system that could catch leaks early, minimize hydrogen and hydrocarbon production losses, and improve safety for maintenance.
