JAS Forwarding GmbH is a privately run international shipping and logistics provider. During its 30-year history, the company has experienced exponential growth and now possesses a global network of offices that provide its customers with the highest level of service. The company was founded in 1978 in Milan, Italy, and now operates with more than 240 offices and agents in over 80 countries and about 3,600 employees worldwide.

On January 1, 2013, the customs authorities at Frankfurt airport redefined the storage deposit location for the ATLAS AES Exit process. Deposits of goods were then allowed only within Frankfurt airport. The effect of this was that all carriers that had previously made their drop-offs for air freight export at nearby places outside the airport (such as Mörfelden, Kelsterbach, Raunheim, Rüsselsheim, and Flörsheim) had to come up with new logistics routes. Export processes and communication with customs were to be ensured round the clock.

BluJay Solutions’ technology won over JAS Forwarding with its potential for increased efficiency. The Air Cargo Pool data platform has existed since 2009, and there are more than 50 ACP terminals in all German airports. Export processes and communication with customs are possible round the clock. After the data is entered, the ACP automatically releases the transfer messages to customs. Immediately after exporting the goods, the carriers receive the export confirmation from customs, which is especially important for time-critical dispatches. Within less than 14 days, the BluJay software was implemented at JAS Forwarding, and the company’s branches got a connection to Air Cargo Pool. JAS Forwarding chose to rely on Air Cargo Pool (ACP) and can now handle air freight processing trouble-free through a single data platform.

Remote Wellhead Monitoring
Each wellhead was equipped with various sensors and meters that needed to be monitored and controlled from a central HMI, often miles away from the assets in the field. Redundant solar and wind generators were installed at each wellhead to support the electrical needs of the pumpstations, temperature meters, cameras, and cellular modules. In addition to asset management and remote control capabilities, data logging for remote surveillance and alarm notifications was a key demand from the customer.
