They use Microsoft 365 as their cloud suite. The company was facing significant challenges with their email security, initially using Proofpoint and then switching to Microsoft's Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). However, both solutions were causing daily headaches for their IT staff, who found them difficult to use and ineffective in providing clear, actionable data.

All-Timer Studios, a large entertainment studio in California, was facing significant challenges with their email security. Initially, they were using Proofpoint, a Secure Email Gateway, which was proving to be difficult to use due to its clunky user interface, hard-to-follow reports, and inexact data. The company decided to switch to Microsoft's Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) as they were already using Microsoft 365 as their cloud suite. However, ATP did not alleviate their problems. The IT staff found it difficult to resolve many issues and were frustrated with the daily headaches ATP was causing. They needed a solution that was easy to use, provided detailed reports, and came with excellent customer support.

Jacob Rosen, who took over the day-to-day email management for All-Timer Studios, decided to look for a replacement for ATP. After thorough research, he came across Avanan on Gartner's page and was impressed by the positive reviews. He set up a demo and Proof of Concept (POC) with Avanan. The technology's viability was clear immediately, and the support from Avanan's sales and support staff was impressive. Avanan's product made Rosen's job easier. He could easily search through blocked phishing emails to see what threats were targeting his company. He could also provide his bosses with weekly reports, something that was a lot harder with ATP. Avanan also offered time-of-click protection that was able to spot and block attacks that were designed to bypass SafeLinks and steal credentials on the website level.

In-vehicle communications and entertainment system hosts high-value or sensitive applications. API libraries facilitate communication and sharing of vehicle data. These API libraries are vulnerable to reverse engineering and tampering attacks and may even result in loss of passenger safety. Attackers can inject malware that may be able to migrate to other in-car networks such as the controller-area-network (CAN) bus which links to the vehicle’s critical systems.
