They have a wide-ranging base of 500 customers who can have anywhere from one to 200 workstations each, with some not even having an IT system in place. The challenge was to find a database solution that could cater to this diverse customer base, ensuring high performance and reliability without the need for constant maintenance.

Egide Informatique selected Actian Zen through its existing relationship with Btrieve, a predecessor to Zen Embedded Database. They found Zen to be highly robust and simple to use, meeting their requirements for a high-performing, reliable database that does not require constant maintenance.
