挑战
Easynet Limited, a global, IP-based managed services organization, was facing the challenge of managing, protecting, and supporting a rapidly growing worldwide IP services network. The company provides network, hosting, and telepresence solutions to multinational corporations and has over 3,000 customers and eight million end users utilizing one million network connections to its global IP backbone. The company was experiencing significant growth in its transit and peering business, making it increasingly complex to manually conduct traffic management and peering analysis using in-house tools. Additionally, due to Easynet’s global IP backbone, DDoS attacks were a regular occurrence, especially for some of its bigger hosting customers, such as betting/gaming sites that are prime targets for DDoS attacks.
解决方案
Easynet turned to Arbor Networks' Peakflow SP solution to manage its rapidly growing and ever-changing global network. The Peakflow SP solution provides pervasive network visibility, intelligent traffic engineering, peering/transit analysis, and infrastructure security. Easynet uses Peakflow SP for robust peering/transit analysis as the solution offers visibility into where its traffic is going and what its traffic profiles are. Peakflow SP also helps Easynet determine if there are cheaper places in the network to offload the traffic to a peer or transit provider. In addition to network management and peering/transit analysis, Easynet also uses Peakflow SP for DDoS detection. The company's global NOC has been using the DoS detection features of Peakflow SP for a number of years.

Vodafone Hosted On AWS
Vodafone found that traffic for the applications peak during the four-month period when the international cricket season is at its height in Australia. During the 2011/2012 cricket season, 700,000 consumers downloaded the Cricket Live Australia application. Vodafone needed to be able to meet customer demand, but didn’t want to invest in additional resources that would be underutilized during cricket’s off-season.
