关于客户
SANY is an $8 billion global equipment manufacturer, offering a wide range of heavy machinery for the construction, port, and material handling industries. SANY is present in countries around the world, including global R&D and manufacturing facilities in China, North America, India, Brazil, and Europe. SANY America implemented Proceedix digital work inspections in its North America headquarter facility in Peachtree City, Georgia, where it manufactures an expanding line of excavators.
挑战
SANY America, a global equipment manufacturer, was facing challenges in performing mixed model assembly of complex equipment. With the introduction of additional excavator models and a rapidly expanding workforce, the company needed a reliable and efficient solution for quality inspections. The inspections had to be thorough and efficient, even when performed by newer employees, to catch and address any supplier, assembly, or paint issues. Any issues found needed to be documented thoroughly and communicated quickly and accurately for corrective and preventive action. Detailed reporting on up-to-date quality performance was critical to drive quick and focused improvement.
解决方案
SANY America implemented the Proceedix digital instruction and inspection execution platform with the support of Gemba Systems Inc. This eliminated the need for quality inspectors to print and retrieve paper inspection sheets. Instead, they had all the right and up-to-date inspection procedures at their immediate disposal - digitally. Instead of holding paper and pen, while climbing in and out of excavators, they could record inspection results hands-free using Google Glasses. Any quality issues could be documented -including pictures, videos and comments- in a matter of seconds, and communicated instantly. Inspection reports were generated automatically, and custom dashboards showed historical performance with powerful drill-down capabilities, enabling focused continuous improvement activities.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
