With an extensive logistics network throughout the UK and Ireland, Culina processes approximately 2.2 million orders annually and operates a fleet of over 1,750 vehicles across sixty-five sites. Culina Group, a food and drink logistics specialist, faced challenges with its pre-installed telematics systems, which were not aligned across its fleet. This misalignment made it difficult to gain useful intelligence and maximize benefits. The company needed an integrated, one-stop solution to support improved utilization, safety metrics, and driver behavior. In 2011, Culina went to market looking for a solution that could address these needs. They selected Microlise due to the quality of its solutions, cost-competitiveness, and positive customer feedback. The Microlise product roadmap was also a critical factor, as Culina needed a forward-looking partner to support its continuing growth.

Culina initially deployed Microlise telematics and its Journey Management solution. They later added the Safety Module, which includes forward and driver-facing cameras and incident analysis. Additionally, Trailer Tracking and Temperature Monitoring were implemented across the fleet. These solutions provided Culina with greater visibility, efficiency, and improved safety metrics. The integration of these technologies allowed Culina to better manage its fleet and drivers, leading to enhanced operational performance. The partnership with Microlise enabled Culina to adopt a forward-looking approach, ensuring that they could add new solutions as required to support their growth.
