They are based on the latest HTML5 responsive-design technology and software-as-a-service (SaaS) deployment methods, requiring no hardware, no software, and minimal setup. Today, more than 500 organizations around the world have standardized on Chrome River’s software products.

Chrome River, a company that provides software products for expense management, needed to integrate a robust reporting solution in a lightweight, web-based deployment model. They wanted to establish flexible pricing to complement a subscription-based SaaS model. The company was looking for a powerful, flexible, easy-to-use analytics framework that could be embedded in their SaaS platform. They also needed a solution that could support their security and multitenancy requirements.

Chrome River selected Information Builders’ WebFOCUS due to its limitless scalability, sophisticated data visualization capabilities, and extensive extract, transform, and load (ETL) capabilities. They also liked InfoAssist+, a unified product for creating custom reports and visualizing complex data sets. Information Builders’ Professional Services team helped install WebFOCUS and train several developers. They set up a WebFOCUS server in a Linux environment and configured it to access a MySQL database that is continuously updated as customers enter and retrieve expense information. They also helped Chrome River develop key reports, portals, dashboards, and InfoApps, which are reusable analytic modules that help users at the point of decision. Finally, they configured WebFOCUS to support Chrome River’s security and multitenancy requirements.
