They needed a system that allowed seamless inspection of goods and a direct connection to customs authorities. The company also had to manage the transshipment of a wide range of goods in public warehouses, ensuring that all incoming goods were correctly classified and managed based on their product characteristics and risks. Additionally, they required a solution for the administration of multi-mode transport by plane, train, motor vehicle, and ship, including storage. Initially, a combined solution for storage and customs processing was introduced, which was later expanded to cover multi-modal transport. The solution included real-time monitoring of goods in warehouses and on the transport route, comprehensive reporting, and brief overviews of revenues. BluJay's Customs Management allowed data exchange in almost any format, enabling seamless communication with the operating systems of customers and transport partners. This automation reduced manual input, typos, and increased efficiency. The BluJay software also offered flexibility in storage systems, allowing Broekman to adapt their capacity to seasonal demands and customer requirements.
