Bolt Threads faced several challenges in their quest to develop new, high-quality biomaterials. Their project data was spread across more than ten systems, creating information bottlenecks and making it difficult to find and aggregate data from upstream experiments to inform downstream production processes. Their existing information management system was not flexible enough to adapt to Bolt’s ever-changing, materials-specific workflows.
