About The Customer
YouthBuild Philly is a charter school that was founded in 1991. The school is dedicated to empowering young adults between the ages of 17-20, helping them develop skills and build connections that ensure academic and career success. The school offers a two-year program that enables these young adults to earn their high school diplomas and build vital job skills through academics, vocational training, and community service. The school has a wide range of assets including IT equipment, furniture, workforce training equipment, and vehicles. The school recently purchased a new building, adding to their asset inventory.
The Challenge
YouthBuild Philly, a charter school that empowers young adults between the ages of 17-20, was struggling with asset management. The school had a vast inventory of assets including IT equipment, furniture, workforce training equipment, and vehicles. However, they were losing track of these assets and found it difficult to manage their inventory using spreadsheets. The lack of a robust asset management system made it challenging to keep track of what was on their books and conducting inventory was a daunting task. The school needed a solution that was customizable, user-friendly, and cost-effective to help them manage their assets more efficiently.
The Solution
YouthBuild Philly decided to implement Asset Panda, an asset management solution, in February 2023. Asset Panda offered the school the customizability they needed, allowing them to manage their assets in a way that suited their specific needs. The solution was also user-friendly and cost-effective, making it an ideal choice for the school. Asset Panda provided a range of solutions including IT asset management, fixed asset management, fleet management, and inventory management. The school was able to assign assets to teachers or specific rooms, and even check out assets to students individually. The solution also offered robust reporting features and dashboards, providing an at-a-glance view of the school's assets. The mobile app version of Asset Panda was equally functional as the web version, providing the team with real-time control and visibility of their assets.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
