About The Customer
West Monroe is a business and technology consulting firm with 1500 employee-owners across 8 cities in the United States. The firm specializes in helping organizations transform their operations and achieve their business goals through innovative technology solutions. West Monroe's team of experts works across various industries, providing tailored consulting services to address complex challenges. The firm is known for its collaborative approach, combining deep industry knowledge with technical expertise to deliver impactful results. With a strong focus on employee ownership, West Monroe fosters a culture of accountability and commitment to client success. The firm has ambitious growth plans and aims to expand its team to meet increasing demand for its services.
The Challenge
West Monroe had aggressive hiring goals to scale their team and build out their operations. Initially, they planned to make 180 experienced hires, but this number later increased to 389. The company faced challenges in hiring for many of the same roles across various practices and locations, often through different members of their talent acquisition team, leading to inefficiencies and wasted time. Additionally, West Monroe experienced a scarcity of experienced talent, with some niche roles remaining unfilled for years. For example, they had been searching for a Senior Partner for their Energy and Utilities practice for about two years. With increased hiring goals, they needed access to a wider talent pool and a more centralized way to source experienced candidates.
The Solution
The talent acquisition team at West Monroe sought to improve their process and technology by adopting SeekOut. This platform allowed them to access new talent pools, surfacing qualified candidates that were not visible through other sourcing tools. SeekOut's Custom Power Filters enabled the team to streamline passive candidate sourcing by utilizing internal Boolean search strings with ease. This centralized approach created consistency and saved time early in the recruitment process, helping new recruiters get up to speed faster. Additionally, SeekOut's People Insights provided valuable market data, allowing West Monroe's talent acquisition team and company leaders to make informed decisions. For instance, they could identify non-core geographies with more people possessing the desired skillsets or consider developing talent if the available pool was small. This strategic use of data helped West Monroe fill niche roles and meet their ambitious hiring goals.

Flex Contact Center: Supporting rapid business growth with IBM Connections Cloud and IBM Verse
Flex Contact Center, a professional services company offering telesales, call-center, anti-attrition, back-office, helpdesk and collection services, has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2009. With operations in 12 sites across two states and four cities in Brazil, the company employs more than 11,000 people. However, the company realized that to prevent barriers to future expansion, it was essential to make it as easy as possible for its people to work together effectively—even if they were based in separate geographical locations. Traditional approaches to collaboration—based on email and phone calls—threatened to reduce productivity. Flex Contact Center wanted to enable better collaboration and communication across its workforce, but did not want to make large investments in infrastructure.

PureFluent: Connecting to partners and customers through the cloud for enhanced productivity
PureFluent, a translation services company, was facing challenges in managing its translation and document review processes. The company often received files in uneditable formats from customers, which required staff members to transfer text to word processing or spreadsheet documents. During the translation process, maintaining version control was a challenge because PureFluent sent work to hundreds of translators in multiple geographic locations.
