About The Customer
LPK is an international design agency specializing in building leadership brands that stand out in consumers’ minds. The company is known for its work with high-profile brands like IBM, Pampers, Hallmark, and Pringles. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, LPK operates in five multinational locations and employs over 300 people. The agency's success is driven by its focus on collaboration, innovation, and teamwork. LPK's expertise lies in creating instantly recognizable brands through packaging, imagery, colors, symbols, and words.
The Challenge
LPK was outgrowing its industry-specific software, which lacked systematic controls and sophisticated tools for reporting and analysis. The existing software performed well in many aspects but was inadequate in terms of reporting and analysis tools. Additionally, support for the system was available from only one source, which limited LPK's ability to get timely assistance and updates. The company needed a more robust and scalable solution to handle its growing needs, especially in terms of project management and financial reporting.
The Solution
LPK chose Microsoft Dynamics GP, strategically planned and implemented by Velosio, to replace its outdated software. Velosio conducted a full business process review to understand LPK's various business processes and accounting methods. This review also allowed LPK to reassess its own processes and adopt new methods to maximize the benefits of the new software. Velosio implemented an integrated solution utilizing the Project Management component of Microsoft Dynamics GP. They designed and wrote scripts to automate the creation and posting of routine intercompany transactions. Additionally, Velosio worked with another LPK vendor to integrate the company's time and expense tracking software with Dynamics GP and implemented an electronic payment system for employee expenses using ACH.

Flex Contact Center: Supporting rapid business growth with IBM Connections Cloud and IBM Verse
Flex Contact Center, a professional services company offering telesales, call-center, anti-attrition, back-office, helpdesk and collection services, has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2009. With operations in 12 sites across two states and four cities in Brazil, the company employs more than 11,000 people. However, the company realized that to prevent barriers to future expansion, it was essential to make it as easy as possible for its people to work together effectively—even if they were based in separate geographical locations. Traditional approaches to collaboration—based on email and phone calls—threatened to reduce productivity. Flex Contact Center wanted to enable better collaboration and communication across its workforce, but did not want to make large investments in infrastructure.

PureFluent: Connecting to partners and customers through the cloud for enhanced productivity
PureFluent, a translation services company, was facing challenges in managing its translation and document review processes. The company often received files in uneditable formats from customers, which required staff members to transfer text to word processing or spreadsheet documents. During the translation process, maintaining version control was a challenge because PureFluent sent work to hundreds of translators in multiple geographic locations.
