The Solution
Having used telemetry for a number of years, Eddie Stobart recognized that their existing technology had reached its limits and required an upgrade. The company's Chief Information Officer, John Court, challenged Microlise to deliver a cutting-edge solution that would push the boundaries of current capabilities. Microlise responded by implementing a new fleet management system that includes ruggedized in-cab tablet devices for drivers. This system provides real-time status updates on drivers, allowing the customer service team to proactively manage deliveries and reduce inbound calls from drivers. The new system also offers detailed performance data on drivers and moves the company away from paper-based processes, ensuring a reliable audit trail.
