About The Customer
The One Point is a prominent managed service provider based in Kingston Upon Hull, England. The company offers a unified approach to business and mobile telecommunications, internet, and digital services, allowing customers to efficiently manage their operations without the hassle of dealing with multiple security suppliers and solutions. The One Point collaborates with VCW Security, a technology vendor specializing in IT security solutions, to purchase technology software. The company relies heavily on IT security technology to protect its own systems and those of its customers, making it crucial to have a reliable and effective cybersecurity solution in place.
The Challenge
The One Point, a leading managed service provider in the UK, faced significant challenges in protecting its own and its customers' environments from malware and cyberattacks. The company logs and shares sensitive information online, including human resources records, payroll, and confidential agreements. The leadership team was particularly concerned about zero-day threats, which could potentially cripple their environment and disrupt business operations. They needed a robust security solution to prevent malware from penetrating their systems and causing significant damage.
The Solution
The One Point collaborated with VCW Security to find an alternative endpoint security solution that could scale to their infrastructure and keep them malware-free. After testing Comodo’s Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP) technology in a personal environment, IT Solutions Manager Bryn Abbott found it to be highly effective. The One Point implemented Comodo AEP in January 2014 and has remained malware-free since. Comodo AEP utilizes a Default Deny Platform to block all known malware and only allows trusted applications to run. Unknown applications are contained in an isolated environment, preventing malware from causing harm. The solution also integrates with Comodo’s Specialized Threat Analysis and Protection (STAP) engine, providing rapid analysis and verdicts on unknown files. The Comodo ITSM dashboard offers panoramic insight and control over endpoint protection, allowing The One Point’s IT team to manage security policies and quickly remediate issues.

Real-time In-vehicle Monitoring
The telematic solution provides this vital premium-adjusting information. The solution also helps detect and deter vehicle or trailer theft – as soon as a theft occurs, monitoring personnel can alert the appropriate authorities, providing an exact location.“With more and more insurance companies and major fleet operators interested in monitoring driver behaviour on the grounds of road safety, efficient logistics and costs, the market for this type of device and associated e-business services is growing rapidly within Italy and the rest of Europe,” says Franco.“The insurance companies are especially interested in the pay-per-use and pay-as-you-drive applications while other organisations employ the technology for road user charging.”“One million vehicles in Italy currently carry such devices and forecasts indicate that the European market will increase tenfold by 2014.However, for our technology to work effectively, we needed a highly reliable wireless data network to carry the information between the vehicles and monitoring stations.”

Vodafone Hosted On AWS
Vodafone found that traffic for the applications peak during the four-month period when the international cricket season is at its height in Australia. During the 2011/2012 cricket season, 700,000 consumers downloaded the Cricket Live Australia application. Vodafone needed to be able to meet customer demand, but didn’t want to invest in additional resources that would be underutilized during cricket’s off-season.
