Josep Bombardó is part of the third generation of his family to run the textile company of the same name. Founded in 1943 in Sabadell, in the Catalonia region of Spain, the company has evolved over the decades. Today, it is a sought-after sales specialist and distributor for fine fabrics, which are sold to designers, tailors, and studios all over the world. The company has 20 employees and has been using electronic document archiving for some time. However, they were looking for a more professional solution to address the challenges they faced with document management and collaboration.
The Challenge
Josep Bombardó's textile company, based in Sabadell, Spain, had been using electronic document archiving for some time. However, they encountered problems with using Windows folders, especially when collaborating on documents or assigning editing rights. The lack of security in the storage of personnel documents, which were still in paper form, was a significant concern for the management. The Solution

They started with a phased-in implementation, initially setting up a digital purchasing file cabinet. Shortly thereafter, an automated workflow for the authorization of incoming invoices was added. Today, other accounting documents, pay slips, and all customer-relevant documents are also stored in DocuWare. The system is linked to the ERP system Sage Logic Control, ensuring seamless document management and compliance with all data protection regulations.
