Teach For All is a global network of independent social enterprises working to expand educational opportunities in their respective countries. The network includes organizations in 27 countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East, with programs in an additional 10-15 countries expected to join in the next two years. The organization was founded by Teach For America and Teach First to assist international social entrepreneurs in adapting their model to their respective countries. In the short term, these social enterprises work to address the educational needs of children today, while aspiring to longer-term systemic change through building national movements to promote the fundamental changes necessary to ensure educational opportunity for all.
The Challenge
Teach For All is a global network of independent social enterprises working to expand educational opportunities in their respective countries. The organization gathers and analyzes data related to key metrics such as organizational growth, teacher retention, and number of students reached to maximize learning and identify best practices across the network. Initially, Teach For All used time-consuming spreadsheets to combine and analyze the data. While the analysis proved valuable, the process was labor-intensive and not sustainable in the long term. The organization needed an analytics solution that could automate the process and expand the initiative.
The Solution
Teach For All chose Birst, a comprehensive, cost-effective, and flexible analytics solution that can be deployed in the Cloud or on-premise as an appliance. Birst offers pixel-perfect operational reporting, self-service dashboards, analytics, and the ability to easily run ad hoc queries. With Birst, Teach For All is able to upload and analyze data in a fraction of the time required when using spreadsheets, and share the resulting reports and dashboards with partner organizations. To further speed the process, Teach For All plans to provide its partners with customized, self-service access to Birst as the initiative evolves.

Fundacio Puigvert, a leading European medical center specializing in Urology, Nephrology, and Andrology, faced a significant challenge in training its surgical residents.
