About The Customer
Bullet Music is a music coverage company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2016, the company aims to connect visitors to the musicians and sounds they love through articles, videos, and a bi-monthly podcast. Bullet Music covers a wide range of music styles, including electronic, rock, hip hop, and funk. The company is staffed by a small but dedicated team of about 20 people, including the leadership team, writers, and photographers. Despite operating on a tight budget, Bullet Music is committed to producing professional-quality content and publishing news while it is still relevant.
The Challenge
Bullet Music, an Atlanta-based music coverage company, faced significant challenges in coordinating its team of writers, photographers, and editors. The company, which publishes articles, videos, and podcasts covering a wide range of music styles, needed a way to efficiently assign and track tasks. The Editor-in-Chief, Sam Lawrence, was responsible for making and tracking assignments, but the team struggled with communication and task management. Initially, they tried using a Facebook group for communication, but found the mix of personal and work messages too confusing. Furthermore, the company was operating on a tight budget, making it difficult to invest in expensive project management tools.
The Solution
The solution came in the form of RingCentral Glip, a team messaging platform that includes collaboration and productivity tools like file sharing, task management, and a shared calendar. Glip's mobile apps allowed the team to monitor conversations and respond quickly to assignments. The platform was particularly useful for group messaging, allowing Lawrence to communicate with specific team members without having to involve the entire team. Glip also proved to be a better match than email for immediate troubleshooting, such as when a writer or photographer had issues getting a concert venue to honor their press credentials. The platform's task management feature, Glip Tasks, allowed for structured collaboration, enabling the team to create tasks assigned to multiple people and track the progress of each task.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
