About The Customer
Stainless Metals is a family-owned custom fabrication shop that has been in operation since 1927. They pride themselves on their ability to create whatever their customers want, from awnings for Bloomingdales to the Christian Louboutin Christmas Tree of shoes. Charles Diaz, the Shop Supervisor, has been with the company for 15 years, starting as a floor sweeper and working his way up to running the factory. The company was doing well but recognized the need for improvements in job tracking and efficiency.
The Challenge
Stainless Metals, a custom fabrication shop, was facing challenges in tracking jobs on the shop floor and estimating jobs. They occasionally lost track of a job, and they lacked an efficient system for estimating jobs. They decided to implement E2 SHOP on the cloud to address these issues. However, the COVID-19 pandemic hit shortly after they got E2 SHOP in March 2020, which delayed their plans.
The Solution
When Stainless Metals was able to resume operations, Charles Diaz began watching training videos for E2 SHOP. He entered all the necessary information into the system but needed additional training to fully utilize the software for his shop. He started virtual training, which proved to be exactly what he needed. The training helped him understand how to use E2 SHOP from the start of an estimate to running a job through the factory with a tablet and barcode scanner. The virtual training was particularly beneficial for Stainless Metals, as they run their shop differently due to their custom jobs. Charles was also impressed with the responsiveness of his virtual trainers, who answered his questions quickly, helping him keep the shop running smoothly.
