The Challenge
Leahy IFP, a company that manufactures shelf-stable beverages, was in need of a robust ERP solution to replace its legacy system. The company required a system that could manage all aspects of its operation, from back-office accounting to sales forecasting and shop floor production. The company also needed a system that could accommodate nearly any conceivable business process, including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), a requirement for doing business with many of Leahy IFP’s customers. The company also sought a system that could provide more accurate, detailed, and current cost data.
The Solution
Leahy IFP chose Sage ERP X3 as the solution to meet its requirements for functionality, price, and speed to go-live. The transition from the company’s legacy application to Sage ERP X3 was straightforward and the implementation was relatively quick. The software was able to accommodate nearly any conceivable business process, including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Using the Sage ERP X3 software development kit, Leahy IFP created three separate custom modules in the application to address some of the company’s toughest challenges. One module tracks equipment that is out in the field, another speeds the company’s sales forecasting and budgeting by streamlining the process of integrating data from disparate sources, and a third module tracks rebates earned by third party end users.
