The app also caters to users who wish to discover new activities in their area and connect with other users.
The Challenge
The founder of Realife, Aris Maquelin, identified a growing need for a platform that could facilitate the organization of outdoor group activities based on users' interests and location. The increasing dominance of the virtual world and the gloom of the current period prompted him to create a solution that would help reconnect people physically. The challenge was to create an application that was easy to use, didn't consume much time, and allowed users to propose activities, register for them, and even sell tickets for paid events. However, Aris lacked a strong background in coding, which posed a significant barrier to the development of such an application.
The Solution
Aris chose Bubble, a no-code platform, to build the Realife app. Bubble's powerful, no-code app building tools and features provided the necessary resources to build the product. Users can propose an activity by providing details such as title, description, address, and date. They can also control the activities proposed with the 'console' button, which allows them to accept participants, use the chat associated with the event, post photos of the event, and scan tickets. The app also offers ticket sales and a tool to control the tickets, with each ticket individualized to avoid grey market issues. Users can also contact other users and discover pictures of the different activities organized.
