The Challenge
Electro Optic Systems (EOS), an Australian technology company operating in the defense, space, and communications markets, was facing a significant challenge as it expanded its international footprint. The primary issue was maintaining their cybersecurity defensive perimeter, a crucial aspect given the sensitive nature of their business, which often intersects with national security interests. As EOS grew from a small organization to a large enterprise, the need to uplift their security posture and maturity became increasingly critical. The company required a solution that would provide continuous protection, monitoring, detection, and incident management tailored to their specific business needs.
The Solution
To address this challenge, EOS partnered with Dragonfly Technologies and Rapid7. Rapid7, a market leader in security information event management, offered their Managed Detect and Response (MDR) service. This service was delivered as a natural extension to the EOS security team, providing monitoring, detection, and incident management tailored to EOS's business needs. The MDR service leverages the AI and ML capabilities of the Rapid7 IDR platform, coupled with the tailored security services approach from Dragonfly. This partnership aimed to provide a local and global capability, ensuring 24/7, 365-day continuous protection service. The MDR service acted as a virtual CISO, looking after the software for EOS, and providing a responsive capability to prevent potential cyber attacks.
