The Solution
To address this challenge, the founders developed Qask, an app that connects Australian students with personal tutors from around the world. The app allows students to set their preferred time and date for weekly lessons. They are then paired with a personal learning mentor who is available at that time. The mentor gets to understand the student's learning preferences and goals, and uses the tools provided by Qask to build a personalized learning schedule. The app also helps international tutors become more familiar with the Australian Syllabus, enabling them to provide effective tutoring. Qask was built on Bubble, a no-code platform, which allowed the team to quickly put together an application and iterate based on user feedback. The app's development was supported by an accelerator program, which helped the team raise $30,000.
