Power Design Resources is a national design-build multi-trade contractor based in St. Petersburg, Florida. They are known for their innovative approach to construction, particularly their unique practice of pre-kitting their materials and products to be unit ready before dispatching them to the job site. This approach saves both time and money. However, they were facing challenges with their inventory fulfillment process, which was impacting their construction schedules and overall revenue. They needed a solution that could provide them with the necessary data to monitor their operations and increase accuracy.
Power Design Resources, a national design-build multi-trade contractor based in St. Petersburg, Florida, was facing significant challenges with their inventory fulfillment process. Their existing ERP system was not providing the necessary data to monitor their operations or increase accuracy, leading to costly delays in construction schedules. The team often received reports of missing materials on site, with no way to verify if the entire order was dispatched. This lack of transparency and control over their inventory both inside and outside the warehouse was negatively impacting their overall revenue. They needed a more efficient and accurate solution to manage their operations and inventory.
Power Design Resources implemented Deposco, a warehouse management system, to increase the accuracy and efficiency of their operations. Deposco’s cycle counting feature enabled them to enhance their order accuracy to an impressive 99.7%, while also increasing their operational efficiency fourfold. In addition to this, Deposco's image scanning feature provided a visual record of what was actually dispatched to the team onsite. This feature not only reduced confusion onsite but also provided the client with a clear picture of how many pallets and materials left the warehouse. This transparency helped in saving the team from unnecessary expenses related to damage and lost goods replacement.
